♦ The Junior Department caters for children in years 3-6. The curriculum is based on the English National Guidelines for key stage 2 and all pupils in year 6 take the key stage 2 tests each May.

♦ The curriculum in the Junior Department offers a wide range and variety approach to subject teaching. Several subjects are taught by specialist teachers with progress in the subjects being monitored by the class teacher. The pupils are taught in small groups for several subjects. We place a strong emphasis on English & Maths, both of which are taught daily. Home-work is set every night and the pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning.

Computers are a tool, which, when mastered can enhance learning. Computers and interactive whiteboards are used throughout the curriculum to ensure all pupils can competently use, and support their learning and research with the latest Information Technology.
