KeyStage 2 Classes
The Key Stage 2 classes comprise of the Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2): Years 3 and 4 and Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2): Years 5 and 6. Children between ages 7 and 11 are enrolled into these classes. In KS2, our pupils’ learning and experiences are enriched through individualized teaching and vast co-curricular activities and clubs. In addition to these, we take pride in character building through emphasis on kindness, respect, team work, independence, tolerance and democracy.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
We believe that learning is better achieved through experiences and exploration. Hence we take trips, have exhibitions, go on expeditions and organize outdoor classroom events that allow our pupils to recall and practice what they have learnt in the classroom. Our Science curriculum is detailed and accompanied with Science investigations. Also, our pupils are given the opportunity to develop their creative sides through in-depth Design and Technology and Art classes.
Clubs and Extra-curriculars
The extra-curricular provisions at Buttercups school is extensive and all-encompassing. Whether your child likes ICT, Cheer-leading, Drama, Chess, Cooking, Sports or Debating, there is something for everyone to enjoy. In addition, our children are encouraged to try new activities that take them out of their comfort zone.
Confidence Building through Public Speaking and Performing Arts
Regularly, our children engage in Public Speaking through Speech delivery, debating, declamation etc. Dramatic art is also taught through all year groups every week as we strongly believe that these skills help to build the child’s communication skills, self confidence, concentration and memory. School is always fun and interesting for the children because of these activities.
